About Aaron Asghari

Aaron began playing guitar at the age of 14 and instantly fell in love with it.  He started off by teaching himself guitar, but soon realized that in order to master the craft, he needed private guitar lessons.  His first guitar instructor really inspired and pushed him to cultivate his skills and try new styles.  In high school, he was a member of several bands and the Del Campo High School Jazz Band.  Simply put, he couldn’t satiate his love for the instrument!

After graduating from high school, Aaron attended the world-renowned Musicians Institute’s Guitar Institute of Technology program in Los Angeles. Surrounded by talented and inspirational people, he realized that guitar would be a life-long passion and professional pursuit.

Upon earning a degree in Guitar Performance, he moved back to Sacramento to teach and play guitar.  He taught at the Stockton School of Music for three years before deciding to open his own guitar school.  And so Asghari Guitar Lessons was born!

Since then, he and his wife have relocated to Berkeley and he continues to play and teach guitar.  The Bay Area is a beautiful area with brimming with talented students.  He whole-heartedly enjoys helping young people discover their love for music, as he did when I was 14.
